It's 'The Way It's Meant to Be'

Malachi currently employs 20 counsellors and two project and events staff to provide services to children and families in 70 schools and children’s centres. Throughout the last three years it has developed an enviable reputation for strong evidence based, outcome focussed service delivery. As part of multi-agency service delivery, it is able to support and improve the prospects for about a thousand children a year.

The Malachi journey has been interesting and exciting and, as with all long journeys, has been full of mixed experiences. Many joys and some setbacks. Over the 17 year period, since the writing of that initial original musical, five more have followed, with the capacity to engage with children from Year Three to Year Ten. The latest one, which we have called ‘The Way It’s Meant To Be’, adds a much needed opportunity for young people to be able to explore love and relationships. It will try to help children, whose experience of forming relationships has been negative, think through how to go about identifying real and lasting love.
