What we do One to One Support

Upon receipt of a referral the Malachi worker will carry out an initial assessment. This part of the process will entail the gathering of information from all interested parties including the child's teacher, any other professional who may be involved, and most importantly, the child's parent/carer.

From this assessment an action plan will be drawn up, and dependent on the content, therapeutic intervention will begin. This intervention will usually take place on basis of one to one work with both the child and the parent, but may also include some group work. The length of the intervention will depend on the needs of the child. Many of Malachi's current cases are Tier 3 and 4, and by definition are highly complex. Service is tailored to the needs of the child and each Malachi worker is held accountable to their own action plan.
